一、课题:英语 四年级下 U7 What’s the matter? Story time
二、教材简解:
本单元的核心教学内容是“询问别人情况”。本单元结合句型What’s the matter?/Are you... I’m…. 集中教表示感觉的形容词cold , hungry, thirsty, tired, ill和hot。在这个单元中还出现了日常交际用语 Come and have …. Good night.
本节课是第一课时,主要教表示感觉的形容词hungry, thirsty, tired, ill. 以及句型What’s the matter? I’m…. 并能灵活运用come and have... 等句型对他人作出帮助。
三、目标预设:
1、学会日常交际用语:what’s the matter? 及相应回答。学会准确使用贴切的形容词hungry, tired, thirsty, ill 表述自己的感觉。
2、独立观察课文图片,能用学过的知识讨论图片所表达的意思。
3、通过观看课文视频,初步整体感知课文内容,完成选择题。
4、通过自读、听读课文,理解图文的深层内容,学生用所学词汇句型合作讨论活用所学内容。
5、通过各种方式读课文,巩固所学内容,加深理解,为语言输出做准备。
6、通过各种表演,和同桌创编新对话,激发学生学习的兴趣,学会用英语做事。

五、设计理念
在很多课堂上,教师从过去单纯的知识传授者转变为学生学习的指导者、能力形成的促进者、学习资源的提供者、解决问题的帮助者。同时,固化的课堂模式被突破,教师能够根据不同课型采取不同的教学步骤,教学过程的层次性和逻辑性有了明显提升,教学过程被教师看作是引导学生使用所学语言做事情的过程,不再是学习和巩固词汇和语法的过程。
六、设计思路
首先通过一首《What’s the matter?》,营造英语学习的氛围,使学生能尽快融入英语课堂,其次通过Free talk,在师生对话中揭题,同时引入文本,教授新知。新知教授结束后,通过chant巩固操练新知,加深学生理解。紧接着,在课文第二部分,引导学生自主发现问题、回答问题来理解课文。后通过读一读、演一演、复述课文内容以及创设情境、自编对话来复习巩固。最后通过图片,引导学生学会关心和帮助他人,充分体现新课标强调的人文性特点。
七、教学过程:

2.Free talk.
T: How are you?
S: I’m fine.
T: Are you thirsty/hungry...?

3.(出示图片) Ask Ss to care about Yang Ling, Mike and Helen.由学生自己说出what’s the matter?并揭题。
T: Can you care about Yang Ling?
S: She’s hungry.(teach hungry)
T: Can you help her? Give her some suggestions?
S1: Eat some pies.
S2: Have a hamburger, please.
S3: Come and have an egg.(teach”come and have”, have means eat or drink.)
4.同上出示Mike和Helen的照片,教授新词tired和thirsty.
5.Chant(PPT先出示Yang Ling, Yang Ling, what’s the matter? Hungry, hungry, I’m hungry. 再出示_____, _____, what’s the matter? _____, _____, I’m ______.)
Step 2:Pre-reading.
1. T: You did a very good job, and I’ll show you a photo. (呈现Liu Taot踢足球的照片)Look! Who’s he?
S: He’s Liu Tao.
T: Yes. Yes. Liu Tao has a football match today, and now where is he?(PPT出示刘涛在家的照片)
S: Home.
T: Look at his face. Is he happy?
S: No.
T: Can you ask him? Can you care about him?(由已经学过的句型what’s the matter?引出新句型Are you...?)
Step 4.While-reading.
T:Now, let’s watch the cartoon and find what’s the matter with Liu Tao.
1. Look and find. (播放动画,让学生找出答案)
T: What’s the matter with Liu Tao?(PPT出示图片选项)
S: He’s thirsty and tired.
2. Watch and answer.
T: Yes, Liu Tao is thirsty, so what does he need? Can you give him some suggestion?
S: Water.(teach”water”, 出示文中句子”Can I have some water, Mum?”并教读)
T: Liu Tao drink some water and he’s not thirsty now, but he’s still tired. So now what does he want?
S1: Sleep.
S2: Go to bed.(出示文中句子”No, but I’m tired. I want to go to bed”.)
3. Read and answer.
T: Boys and girls, you are so sweety. You can care about Liu Tao. Do you know how does his parents care about him?
(刘涛的爸爸妈妈是怎么来关心他的?自己读课文找出)
S1: Come and have a pie.
S2: Here you are.
S3:What’s the matter Taotao? Are you ill?
